Reasons Jesus Rejoices, Part 2
Jesus has reasons to rejoice.
After Jesus encouraged His disciples with knowledge that they should rejoice because their names are written in heaven, that they are kingdom citizens, He immediately turns to His Father in prayer and begins His prayer by thanking God for who He is, what He has done, and why He has done it. Do you spend time in your prayers rejoicing in the character of God? Do you thank Him for what He has done in the world, your world, and your life? Do you thank Him for who He is? Do your prayers center more on what you want God to do or think God should do in the world, your life or others lives? If you find that your prayers tend to be more focused on your will than God’s will, then listen today to learn how Jesus prays.
