How to Be an Excellent Disciple, Authority, Part 2 | How to be an Excellent Disciple

Who we trust to teach us God’s truth, has serious eternal consequences.

Jesus asks, “Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?”  This verse is directing us, as Jesus’s disciples, to be very careful who we listen to and trust to accurately explain biblical truth. Who are you believing as an authority on God’s word?  Do you verify the teaching you hear?  Your choice of a leader can have very serious, eternal consequences. Do you think about how much influence you have on the people around you, like your coworkers, your family members, your friends?
