Common Men, Uncommon Calling

Jesus prayerfully chose twelve men to be His Apostles. These men were indeed ordinary and common in appearance and profession. There was nothing at the time that set them apart from anyone else. Jesus Christ, though, would use these men as the foundation for His church. Jesus is the cornerstone, and these common men were the first building blocks added to the foundation. These men are flawed like we are, so we can learn so much from their walk with Jesus. Why did Jesus choose these men? Why would he choose a man who would betray Him? Jesus chose each of these men for a reason. Let’s find out why.
