Did you know that the angel’s statement “I bring you good news” comes from the word for evangelize? The angels were the first to bring the good news of salvation! They were evangelists! This evangelism was present when the angel of God visited Mary. And her reply to this message, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word,” is such a beautiful example of the obedient response that we should all have.
