The Golden Rule is something we’ve all heard about and probably even quoted in our lifetimes. But what does it really say and mean? We need to understand that we all have an innate sense of moral judgement – a sense of what’s right and what’s wrong. Unfortunately however, we tend to be blind to our own moral faults and obligations, yet we are keenly aware of someone else’s moral faults and obligations. Jesus asks us, through the golden rule, to turn that judgement away from ourselves and turn it to focus on the good of others – to their advantage!
