In the previous message in this series, we’ve looked at 30 reasons for us, as Christians, to rejoice in God. In this message we shift gears a bit and will look on as Jesus rejoices in God, His Father. And what we are going to see in the example of Jesus is that he anchors His cause for rejoicing in the character of God. This is such a crucial concept for us to grasp as we try to understand why it is that Christians are to be a rejoicing people. We can know for certain that during those times when we don’t feel like rejoicing, or where rejoicing even seems impossible, when we don’t want to rejoice or don’t see why we should, the primary reason for this is because in that moment we are failing to think rightly about God and His true character.
