The Way of the Blessed, Part 2

Psalm 1 contrasts the life of the blessed man with the wicked man. It immediately mentions the word counsel, saying that the blessed man does not walk in the counsel of the wicked but, rather, delights himself in the law of the Lord. This is speaking to the reality that we are always receiving counsel, every sermon we listen to, every movie we watch, every article we read is attempting to counsel us in some way or another. But all human counsel finds it’s appropriate value against the perfect standard of counsel that is the inerrant word of God.
