Meet Travis Allen

Raised in Golden, CO, Travis joined the military in 1988, where God regenerated him to new life and faith in Christ in 1990. He met and married Melinda in 1993, and God has given them five wonderful children: Nicolas, Leah, Jesse, Scott, and Cali. Travis was educated for pastoral ministry (The College at Southeastern, B.A., 1997; The Master’s Seminary, M.Div., 2006), and further prepared by working at Grace to You and ministering at Grace Community Church (ordination, 2012) until 2014 when he accepted the teaching pastor position at Grace Church in Greeley, CO.

Travis is now the teaching pastor at Grace Church, where he teaches and leads the flock with biblical conviction. He is known for faithfully and lovingly shepherding the people God has placed in his church, always ready to sacrifice time and energy for them. He works for the the purpose of equipping the saints for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:12). His aim is to proclaim Jesus Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so he may do his part in presenting every member of Grace Church mature in Christ (Col. 1:28).

Why we are on the radio

“Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.” (Hebrews 2:1)

By the grace of God, that is the response of the members of Grace Church to the times we are living in. As a local body of believers in Greeley, Colorado, we will proclaim God’s Word. We will point others to Jesus Christ. We will get the message of the gospel out to as many people as the Lord allows.

In many pulpits and churches, the message of Christ – the basic gospel – is rather foreign, even among professing Christians. We want to lift the banner of Christ and His saving gospel high. We want to shine that light brightly, because Jesus said, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” (John 12:32) He was speaking of His crucifixion. He would atone for the sins of people by being lifted up on a cross. As a church, we take that same principle and lift high the message of Christ Crucified.

The times we are living in give us many questions to ask and answer of the Lord. His Word gives us every answer. Our purpose for bringing this teaching on the radio is to lift up the Word of God through preaching, so that the faithful can hear it, find our church or another faithful church in their area, and draw near for shepherding. Jesus said, “my sheep hear my voice and I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27) If we speak the Shepherd’s words, the sheep will find Him.

We want to faithfully serve people with plain, simple teaching of God’s Word. We want to be a part of God’s plan to seek and save the lost by helping lost sheep find their way to a good church and by exalting the voice of the Chief Shepherd.
