Jesus established the local church for our benefit.
Jesus created the Church for the purpose of evangelizing the world. He says in scripture that a Christians main purpose is to spread the good news of the Gospel. He called His apostles to be the foundation of the church universal. Paul and the other Apostles established local churches following the pattern given to them by Jesus. Jesus loves the local church. He created it for our benefit, with instructions on what the church was to accomplish in His absence. Travis explains what God’s word says about why the church was established and how it is to operate.
