Everyone must make this decision.
In Luke 13:22-24, Jesus pushes His listeners to make a decision about following Him or continuing in their sin. He tells them, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate.” All followers of Jesus need to make this same decision: Turn from their old way of living, which is following the world, staying comfortable in their sin or repent of their sin and stand with Jesus in righteousness and holy living. Many know Jesus’ teaching and know what is required of them to enter into the Kingdom of God, but feel there is time for them to change their lives and still get into heaven. This is the attitude of presuming on God’s grace. Do you really know when you will die and that you will have time to repent and strive to enter God’s Kingdom?
