Abide in Christ, Part 2 | Abiding in Christ
Abide in me is a command which requires obedience.
Travis gives us reasons for obedience to Jesus’ command, abide in me. Continuing with the example of the vineyard, Travis gives us reasons why we must abide in Christ. As God’s children we are to give God glory by ‘bearing fruit.’ God expects us to bear fruit and we can’t bear fruit without abiding in Christ. Jesus says “Apart from Me you can do nothing”. But God promises that we will bear fruit if we abide in Him.
