Continuing with the parable Travis gives a short history of Herod and his royal line to display a king that is nothing like the King of Kings.  Travis tells how the Jews want relief from the current royal line that rules over them. Jesus is telling this parable to show what His expectations are, of His followers, as they wait for His return.
